DIAGNOSTIC sCAN, uLTRASOUND-GUIDED INJECTION, & A REPORT IN THE SAME APPOINTMENT
What is it and how it works?
High volume tendon injection is done to reduce pain levels caused due to chronic Achilles tendinopathy and involves injecting a high volume of saline and local anesthetics under the Achilles tendon to separate pain-causing nerve supply from the tendon. It is known to be an effective, less invasive, and quick procedure in managing long-standing pain from the aging Achilles tendon.
High-volume tendon injections are carried out with the help of ultrasound for accuracy and to avoid any damage to the Achilles tendon and nearby structures. Our Musculoskeletal Specialists in Northampton have more than 20 years of experience in managing musculoskeletal conditions and have a profile of performing more than 3000 ultrasound scans and ultrasound-guided injections in various hospitals in East and West Midlands.
