What is it & How it works?
The hydrogel injection is based on an innovative non-biodegradable technology and is made of 97.5% water and 2.5% cross linked polyacrylamide. When injected into the knee joint it cushions the joint line, reduces pain levels, and improves function following just one procedure. The hydrogel injection is non-biodegradable and therefore it delivers long-acting pain relief.
If you are suffering with moderate to severe osteoarthritis in the knee joint and do not prefer surgery or unable to undergo a surgical procedure, then the hydrogel injection may be the right choice for you. The hydrogel injection is not suitable for everyone and therefore our specialist MSK team will screen your health prior to the procedure.

Unlike other injectable treatments for osteoarthritis in the knee joint, results from the hydrogel injection are long acting and clinical trials have shown maintained results at 3 year follow-up period.
Hydrogel injection is a non-biodegradable technology and therefore it does not degrade. It is a “one-off” procedure that is aimed to give long-acting symptom relief.
Hydrogel injection is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
