Corticosteroid injections are relatively safe procedures with minimal side effects. There is a small risk of allergy and infection or slight flare-up of pain that can occur immediately or within few days following the procedure. Local anaesthetics are safe during pregnancy. Corticosteroid injection is known to be safe from 2nd trimester of pregnancy. If you are aware of being pregnant at the time of booking then notify us for pre-injection screening. Corticosteroid injections are safe if breastfeeding.
